Dr. James P. Muir brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to clinical excellence in implant dentistry. Dr. Muir earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of South Florida before pursuing his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Michigan, one of the nation’s top dental programs.
After graduation, Dr. Muir served in the United States Navy for four years, where he gained extensive surgical experience, including two years in the Oral Surgery department. His military service laid the foundation for his passion for complex dental procedures and his dedication to precision and patient care.
Dr. Jimmy Vellis was born in Maryland, raised in Virginia, and now resides in the Tampa–St. Petersburg area with his two sons. He attended the University of Virginia on a full NROTC scholarship, earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, D.C.
After graduating, Dr. Vellis relocated to Tampa, FL, where he practiced general dentistry for eight years. His passion for dental surgery inspired him to pursue advanced training, leading to his acceptance into a three-year postgraduate residency program in Periodontics and Dental Implants at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in Lexington, KY.
